Why I loved IT so much.

The Kid Cast.

It is without a doubt one of my Fav movies of
my lifetime, I'm a lifelong fan of Stephen King,
and have always loved the way he portrays children
and teens in his stories.

There is a honesty about the way they talk, and what they
think, they're always true to their age which can't be
said about a lot shows and films and even books that
feature, children and adolescents.

Kids/Preteens/Teens swear, they talk of subjects that
would make George Carlin blush and kids are
freakin funny, because there is no filter.

With IT, the casting director got it right, the chemistry
between them was perfect and just so damn believable.
Putting the actors up in a Hotel room in Toronto
so they could bond was a genius idea!

Stand out for me was Sophia Lillis, to play a victim
of abuse by her father that well, was far beyond her years,
Bill may of been the leader of the Loser Club, but it was Bev
that gelled them together in their fight against Pennywise.

The Jump scares worked, the Projector scene was truly
frightening as was Skarsgard's  Pennywise.

Every kid gave a solid performance,  of the six boys I
have to say Eddie, Richie and Ben all had my Fav scenes/lines.

Loved the look Ben gave Bev when they first meet, and she signed
his yearbook, so heartwarming and sweet.  Eddie with the line
of the movie, slightly getting confused and calling Placebos,
"Gazebos" and of course Richie in the rock fight telling Henry
what he should do to his dad had me in stitches and of course
his line about Molly Ringwald.

Stan and Mike were solid, playing the serious kids may be hard
to do, but their reactions to their friends and IT was brilliant,
something that could only be achieve if you have got the
acting chops.

The Movie IT, also took me back to my young teen years, the
time period was almost right, they were 13 in 1989, I turned 13 in
1983, the Loser Club reminded me of some of my friends, way
back then.

Again just a extremely enjoyable movie, no overuse of CGI and
with the deepest sincerity, I would say this movie is going to be
as fondly remember as Stand by me.

I sure hope so anyway, it deserves to be.

Roll on Chapter 2!!
