Sydney Siege












Thoughts and wishes go out to those that lost
love ones. Thoughts and wishes go out to those
with loved ones still in Hospital.

For myself the Sydney Siege bought out the best and
worse in people.

THE BEST

The Police who were  calm and collective and then took
action when needed, they need to be praised for
what they did.

The Australian Muslim community, who released
a statement saying Islam is about Peace and they
condone the violence and hostage taking.

The people who used the hashtag, #Illridewithyou
what a wonderful thought and gesture, knowing that
some Muslims may be scared over a backlash.


THE WORSE

People who took selfies and drank beer and decided
it would be a good idea to have a hostage party, outside
the cafe.

The racist idiots who blamed all Muslims for this one
jerk.

The people who tried to stir up trouble for their own
political ideology.

THE VERY WORSE

Anjum Rahman the spokesperson for the Islamic
Womans council of New Zealand. She would
have to be the most disingenuous blogger/tweeter
New Zealand has produced over years and is
massively passive aggressive. For Anjum to
tweeted out tweets that shes sending her thoughts,
but to add thoughts to people who are victims of
war and torture was a dig at the west. To turn this
tragic event into her own political views was
repugnant.

She has continued to do this, and has a huge huge
history of doing this.

She should've taken note of her Muslim counterparts
in Australia, but alas no, this was just another opportunity
for her to spout off her precious hatred for the USA.

Here's hoping in such a tragic event,  people would
 forget about their own prejudices and concentrate  on
the event itself.

I anit holding my breath though.

Again thoughts with the people of Australia today.

The Spinoff Confuses Me

Over the past few years, I have occasionally gone over to the website, "The Spinoff" and nearly every time the website has left me in a state of confusion, when normally I am in a state of denial. The website seems to read like it's coming from the old "Social Credit" party manifesto, but that isn't what confuses me, I guess the easiest way to explain is to give examples. Take the Horrific Christchurch shooting, my old home town  acted with grace and dignity and an outpouring of love and support for the victims and their community, as they should. Hey Kid Get Ya Feet off the Table

Words fail me, but I'm going to write something anyway. I kinda blame society for thinking that kids taking Selfie's is a great idea, and it breeds confidence, I actually think it breeds obnoxious. I was in a pub/restaurant not so long ago, and this group of people were there, mainly adults, ages ranged from about 65 to around 12. They were all nicely dressed, there were two kids, one a girl in her teens and a boy aged about 12, he seemed to be better dressed than the adults, he had one of those bowler hats on. Anyway, I was there with my group, there were two other groups there at the time. This kid had decided to play a rather loud game on his cell phone, loud enough that everyone else turned around to see where the noise was coming from, he for some reason, was nodding his head up and down saying "Yeah yeah" like he just achieved something really important. NOT A SECRET SOCIETY

The picture above doesn't show a Secret Society, it doesn't show people who are part of an exclusive club that has been around for 100's of years. There is not going to be a Line of Duty type investigation into these boys, there won't be a movie made into their life's, none of the people pictured are special. There is no wild antics that  they do, that will be talked about for centuries. They wont become Prime Minister. They're nothing like the Masons, the police aren't debating should they arrest them or not because who their daddies are.
